Eliza Frye

ELIZA FRYE was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She started dancing at the age of 3 at a local dance studio called The Dance Step. She continued her training in college at the University of Akron before transferring to Ball State University where she is studying now as a BFA Dance student. Her favorite style is modern/contemporary but has also trained in ballet, jazz, musical theatre, pointe, tap, hip hop and acrobatics. Eliza had the opportunity this past spring to perform at the Joyce Theatre in NYC at the Martha Graham Student Showcase, performing the original choreography of Steps in the Street. She also was apart of a piece called New Works, working with Noa Shadur, a choreographer from Israel. Working with another Ball State student, Eliza choreographed and performed in a music video for the Christian artist, Leo Flores for the song You Never Left Me. Eliza has expanded her training through intensives such as The Dance Awards 2018, Visceral Dance 2018, and The Movement Project Winter Intensive 2017. She has received multiple scholarships such as the ADF Summer Intensive in 2019 and a full scholarship to Playhouse Square Broadway Intensive. She hopes to continue growing as a dancer and strives to reach a level of professional work.
